2-Day Int/Adv LD Value Camp - Burnet, TX - Aug 22-23, 2024
This Intermediate/Advanced camp will cover LD theory, case writing, the resolution, and debate itself. The students will do two practice debates at this camp.

Debate Camps at Your Place and Time!
My camps operate based on the model that parents or a club sponsor the camps by providing the location and helping to ensure the minimum number of participants.
If I pay for the location, the price increases (projected to be $40 per day per student).
A minimum of 6 students is required for each camp.

Here are the kinds of LD camps I offer:
1-Day LD Intro Camp
Intro camp is focused on helping a new student who has not done LD, debate, or maybe even speech & debate at all, to a point where they can go back to their club and begin working on their own. A major goal of this camp is to help the debate club start the year smoothly by covering basic LD theory and structure at camp before the fall semester starts (or to start off the fall semester).
2-Day Beg/Int LD Camp
Beginner/Intermediate camp aims at helping the student who knows the basics of LD get to the point where they are comfortable actually debating in a competitive setting and capable of going home to their club and researching/writing their own cases. This camp focuses on the in-the-round aspect of debate and is not resolution specific. The students will do two practice debates at this camp. They will learn how to debate and what they need from a case but won't have to have or write a case at this camp.
Int/Adv LD Camps
The Intermediate/Advanced camp covers LD theory, the resolution, and debate itself. In either a 1-day workshop or a 3-day camp format, the students will learn about Intermediate/Advanced debate theory, advanced case writing, more advanced presentational skills/ideas, discuss/analyze/research the resolution for this year, and write their own cases.
